Three schools—one goal

It takes a lot of work to fill a 40-foot shipping container. Volunteer students in three Omaha high schools, Creighton Prep High School, Duchesne Academy, and Marian High School get the job done. And when all the 350+ computers are ready for shipment, volunteers from all over Omaha help pack up the labs and send them on their way.

CFA channels the enthusiasm and skills of these young people, as well as their desire to serve, into a cooperative program with international impact. To date, their combined effort has refurbished, packaged and loaded over a thousand computers to 67 communities in East Africa. Eagle Scouts from Creighton Prep High School built and donated computer test benches to get two schools started.

CFA club members work within their schools, raising funds for CFA and awareness of Africa and its challenges. Student-initiated events have included LAN parties, dances, bake sales and raffles.
